Endo Black Incorporated Celebrates Successful Day(s) of Service, Packing 1,000 Period Care Kits for High School Students through P.I.N.K.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Oxon Hill, MD - July 2, 2023 - Endo Black Incorporated, a black-women-led organization advocating for African American women and women of color living with endometriosis, is delighted to announce the success of their recent Day(s) of Service. The event, held on June 28 and June 29, brought together a dedicated team of 25 volunteers at Gethsemane United Methodist Church in Capitol Heights, MD, to pack 1,000-period care kits.

These thoughtfully assembled kits include menstrual health brochures, menstrual care items, feminine wipes, hand sanitizer, and more, providing essential support and resources to those in need. The generous donations of products from Cora, Goodwipes, Gethsemane United Methodist Church, and the local community were instrumental in making this initiative a resounding success, with over 10,000 items collected.

The Day(s) of Service were filled with collaboration and unity as volunteers from various backgrounds and communities joined forces to bring about positive change. Endo Black Incorporated expresses its deepest gratitude to each and every volunteer who dedicated their time and effort to make a lasting impact together. Their commitment and enthusiasm were truly inspiring.

All 1,000-period care kits will be distributed to the four high schools participating in the Providing Items Now to Kids (P.I.N.K.) Initiative. These schools, namely High Point High School, Renaissance Academy, North County High School, and Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School, are located in Prince George's County, Baltimore County, and Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Endo Black Incorporated is thrilled to contribute to the well-being and menstrual health of young individuals in these communities.

Endo Black Inc. would like to thank Gethsemane United Methodist Church for graciously hosting the service days. Their support and partnership played an integral role in the success of this event.

"We are extremely proud of the success of our Day(s) of Service," said Lauren R. Kornegay, Executive Director at Endo Black Incorporated. "The collective effort and dedication displayed by our volunteers, donors, and sponsors demonstrate the power of community and the impact we can create when we come together. We are grateful for the generosity of our sponsors and donors, whose contributions made it possible to provide period care kits to our high school partners."

Endo Black Incorporated remains steadfast in advocating for African American women and women of color living with endometriosis. They express their sincere appreciation to the supporters, volunteers, and community members who joined them on this journey and look forward to continuing their Service and making a difference.
