Endo Black, Inc. is Joining the Global Giving Tuesday Movement on November 30, 2021 This Giving Tuesday; Endo Black, Inc. celebrates its first Giving Tuesday with the Endo Black Giving Campaign to raise $4,000.

Oxon Hill, MD — November 1, 2021

Endo Black, Inc., a black-women-led organization advocating for endometriosis for African American women, is seeking to raise funds for Giving Tuesday by November 30, 2021, to fund seed money for their endometriosis conference and to outsource work to women of color. The conference will be operating in its second year, which will deliver an opportunity for community building, education, dialogue on women’s reproductive health, health equity, and overall the self-advocacy of African American women and women of color taking endometriosis head-on.

Endo Black, Inc. has connected thousands of African American women and women of color through social media platforms, online membership, newsletters, and enriching programs and events. Some of the challenges that African Americans face are being constantly misdiagnosed, having limited access to resources, and having little research. The organization solves these problems by providing a safe atmosphere, endo-sisterly love, opportunities for education on women’s reproductive health in the community, and dialogues around policies, laws, and regulations that may help women affected by endometriosis.

“I want people to take away from Endo Black, Inc., that you are not alone in your journey. Though our battles may differ, endometriosis brings us together, and Endo Black, Inc. offers a safe space for you to be listened to, share experiences, gather resources and learn about endometriosis,” said Lauren R. Kornegay, Executive Director, and founder. “There are many misconceptions about endometriosis. I want people to know and understand that you can have a life and be happy while living with endometriosis. It is not the end-all, it’s going to take work and patience, but we will get through this together.”

Giving Tuesday is the opening day of the giving season which is driven by individuals, charities, organizations, businesses, and communities to encourage giving and celebrate generosity worldwide. This year will be the first time Endo Black, Inc. will be participating in Giving Tuesday. When we are all experiencing the pandemic, Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for people worldwide to stand together in unity—to use their power of generosity to remain connected and heal.
